The concert will open with Grammy Award-winning composer, Joan Tower’s brilliant Fanfare for the Uncommon Woman No. 6. We will present Mussorgsky’s most popular musical work, “Pictures at an Exhibition” composed for piano, and expertly arranged by the great French composer Maurice Ravel. Russian-born pianist Tatiana Dorokhova was the silver medalist and audience favorite award winner of the 2024 Gurwitz International Piano Competition. She will perform the virtuosic 3rd Piano Concerto of Sergei Prokofiev.

TMEA 2026 Music Showcase - River City Winds

We will be performing a showcase highlighting Brazilian composers and the flexibility of chamber ensembles. We will be performing three duos that feature each possible combination of our ensemble (flute+clarinet | flute+bassoon | clarinet+bassoon) and, of course, a trio!

TAMU-CC Single Reed Day
I’ll be at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi’s Single Reed Day. This all day event will be in the H-E-B Performance Hall in the Performing Arts Center.
Hosted by Dr. Caitlin Beare and Dr. Matthew York, Single Reed Day is a FREE event open to clarinetists and saxophonists from around the Coastal Bend. Come enjoy a day full of masterclasses, workshops, vendors, and guests artists, with a finale concert at 5 pm in the H-E-B Performance Hall.
