In Full Swing - Prickly Pear Clarinets and Fiesta Flutes
Celebrate the arrival of spring with an evening of rhythm, color, and irresistible swing! Fiesta Flutes of San Antonio and the Prickly Pear Clarinet Ensemble join forces again for In Full Swing: a lively concert filled with jazz classics, fresh arrangements, and toe-tapping favorites.
From golden-age swing to vibrant contemporary grooves, this collaborative program showcases the rich blend of clarinets and flutes in music that sparkles with energy and style. Whether you love smooth standards, playful syncopation, or bold new rhythms, this concert promises something for every listener.

River City Winds at the Witte Museum

An exciting event is in the works to celebrate WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH at the Witte Museum!
In addition to the 100th birthday of the museum, we will be working together to highlight the theme of women leaders and premiering the flute/clarinet/bassoon version of Jenni Brandon’s From Sea to Sky: Stories of Amazing Women
We’ll be performing in the Dawson Family Hall located in the western wing of the main Witte Museum building.

The concert will open with Grammy Award-winning composer, Joan Tower’s brilliant Fanfare for the Uncommon Woman No. 6. We will present Mussorgsky’s most popular musical work, “Pictures at an Exhibition” composed for piano, and expertly arranged by the great French composer Maurice Ravel. Russian-born pianist Tatiana Dorokhova was the silver medalist and audience favorite award winner of the 2024 Gurwitz International Piano Competition. She will perform the virtuosic 3rd Piano Concerto of Sergei Prokofiev.

TMEA 2026 Music Showcase - River City Winds
River City Winds is returning to TMEA!
We will be performing a showcase highlighting Brazilian composers and the flexibility of chamber ensembles. We will be performing three duos that feature each possible combination of our ensemble (flute+clarinet | flute+bassoon | clarinet+bassoon) and, of course, a trio!
